NEW HORIZONS IN CONSERVATION

DR. TONY REAMES
In 2016, U-M SEAS Assistant Professor Tony Reames shared the experiences that led him to the nascent field of energy justice. Dr. Reames now serves as Deputy Director for Energy Justice at the U.S. Department of Energy
U-M BIOSTATION
The SEAS Class of 2019 made the trek to the University of Michigan's Biological Station for the traditional three-day Orientation on the wooded shores of Douglas Lake. Field classes, case studies—and plenty of good times—introduced students to the SEAS experience.

FLYING CARS
U-M students released the first comprehensive sustainability assessment of flying cars, a study which was conducted in partnership with the Ford Motor Company.
SEAS TRADITION: CAMPFIRE
Celebrating it's 110th year, the 2016 SEAS Campfire drew more than 200 people, including 31 alumni. Special thanks to alums Mike and John for the log-sawing lesson, along with a bit of Woodsmen Team history.

DORIS DUKE CONSERVATION SCHOLARS PROGRAM
The goal of DDCSP is to diversify the conservation workforce by finding and developing the next generation of land, water, and wildlife professionals among traditionally underrepresented groups.
